Try to press the reset button that's next to the SD card place.
You may need to use a small pin (like needle) to push it for 3 seconds.
No worries, doing this step won't delete any of your files.

At a guess I'd say the card is corrupted and that is stopping the format,
Things to try,
Download Rufus and use it to fully wipe the card out and then reformat it,
If this doesn't work I'd try another card and consider the original one duff unless it works ok in other devices, also check the card is compatible specs wise, normally up to 256GB is ok but yours might be lower, sadly the whole Lennovo range is a bit hit and miss with ext SD cards, some work for a while and then corrupt, others simply corrupt in minutes, the speed and class is important and after my own little experience with this I'd say get a card with minimum read writes of 50/100, tablet appears to be too fast for slow cards and that's when things go south, hth.
i already tried to reset using the small button beside the sd card slot...at first it works....3g and sim is already working...but when i remove the sim then it pop up sim illegal again...it wont work anymore even i reset it again ..please help me fixed my tab...thanks in advance...

Halo I experienced a similar thing where I couldn't change the sim card, the main sim card came in, but when I replace it with a different sim card there is no network, a notification always appears that "illegal simcard pop up shutdown in 30 seconds" please for a7-30hc device
