Do a search for hotkey on the drivers page. You may only find the Vista version (if you are running Win7) but it should still work.

Re: 3000 G430 win7 cannot enable FN+F5 (SOLVED)

YES IT SOLVED, to enable FN+F5 for the wireless lan on WINDOWS 7, you need the HOTKEY driver, and yes you can't find the driver anywhere in the world for this model... Y?  because the stupid LENOVO team embended the hotkey driver into the Power Management driver.

This helped me too

Lenovo 3000 G430 4152 Wireless problem

2010-06-11, 19:50 PM

Hi,

I have a Lenovo G430. The wireless lan was working fine till recently. Suddenly one day the wireless lan is not able to connect to network. The wireless switch is on but I dont see the wireless light ON. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the wireless lan driver but no help. I go to device manager and select this wireless lan card it says device is working properly.

Is there a way to get it back working???

Thanks in advance.

hi minu,

I understand what you are trying to solve, i experienced it once, the whole day i thought how to solve the problem why the FN+F5 isn't working I even disassembled the laptop to check for switch problem but when I check its resistance it

reads good and ok. Finally I browsed for forums and understand how to fix it, mine was Lenovo G430 30008 model running in Windows 7

I just downloaded the Energy Manager from lenovo website and it works for me you just have to do a little update on the device after installing the energy manager to enable the "turning on capability of your broadcom wlan device and im sure

your problem won't get worst....

tnx to the forum i read i can't remember it but you guys helped.

Re: WLAN Driver for G430

2010-12-22, 8:26 AM

hey guys,

good news i found some solution to our problem.. i recently had experinced such problem and i even got inside the laptop

thinking my switch was damaged but since testing it with a multi tester convinced me it wasn't faulty i find myself browsing f

for some forums like yours and found the solution for just 20mins. here's the trick, the hotkey for FN+F5 is just included or embedded within the energy manager of lenovo, just download the energy manager that suits your os and install it, don't forget to install the broadcom driver and do a little diagnosing with the online diagnostic of windows 7 if you are using it..after installation of energy manager and broadcom proprietary driver, click network and interbet sharing->network connection->

and change adapter settings then right click and diagnose it shoul suggest you to fix the "turning on capability" of your wlan..

and it should be fixed..believe it sounds weird though you are to install energy manager other the wlan softwares but the odds are rewarding.i thought i was dealing with wrong advise too but it does work

hi guys,

first i want to thank stevensys, your trick does the fix buddy..hotkeys were embedded with the energy manager, its odd to think but its the stupidity of the lenovo team that makes all such guessing and troubleshooting...i even get my laptop naked and tests the resistance and continuity of the wlan switch..installing energy manager gets the hotkeys to you laptop and a little online diagnostics of win 7 does the "turning on capability" of the device..your a computer addict stevens you solved my problem...
