Re: ACPI\VEN_VPC&DEV_2004 Unknown Deivce G510 Windows 8.1

Hi Aiz04,

As informed in the other post, I suggest you to re-install the LEM (Lenovo Energy Management) from the below link and while installing the driver right click on the downloaded file and select “Run as administrator” option to get it installed without any error. This should resolve the issue.

Do post us back if the issue still persists.

Best Regards

Shiva Kumar

What is the difference between the Energy Management driver you provided and this one:

Im going to use this one, as it give me more information and I like the interface better.

There is no issue, right??

Hi Aiz04,

The driver that I have provided is compatible with Non-Touch models, and there is no issue if you install the driver you have mentioned in the above reply.

Re: ACPI\VEN_VPC&DEV_2004 Unknown Deivce G510 Windows 8.1

Thanks.

The one that I have posted, has the same interface of the LEM that came in the CD in the BOX (Windows 8 drivers).

Also, it has the feature to schedule charge cycles and it also shows the Mili Watt Hour capacity of the battery, which is usefull to know after a gauge reset.

Both the versions work well without any erros and there are no Yellow Exclamation marks in device manager.

Re: ACPI\VEN_VPC&DEV_2004 Unknown Deivce G510 Windows 8.1

Thanks for replying.

One last question. Regarding Windows 8 & Lenovo Energy Management

On the CD which came with the box of my G510, which has WINDOWS 8drivers,

the LEM Version for x64 is 1.0.0.24

and for x32 it is 8.0.2.40

But on the support site there is only one version for Windows 8 with version 8.0.2.4 for both x32 & x64

So my question is: What is the difference between the two? And Why are there two different versions?

Re: ACPI\VEN_VPC&DEV_2004 Unknown Deivce G510 Windows 8.1

Hi Aiz04,

Before the LEM was available for the 32 Bit and 64 Bit in two different packages and the newly released LEM has a single package and is compatible with both 32 Bit & 64 Bit OS (Operating Systems).

Do post us back for further queries.
