Looking at the solution for another machine in this thread, it looks like the power manager driver solves the problem.
Here is the updated power manager driver for your G50-45
I noticed that this thread remains one of the ones with the highest amount of traffic in our community, so I conclude that this topic or driver message may come up a lot. I'd like to learn more about may be happening that is leading up to this.
Are you reloading system with a fresh / retail copy of Windows?
What changes in configuration may have been made leading up to this error / message?

Hi sarbin and thank you for taking time to answer my question.
I already visited that page and downloaded all the drivers for windows7 for my device (which was shipped with the freeDos operating system).
Moreover, on that page there are also drivers wich are not meant to be installed on my B50-80 (my device doesn't have a AMD graphics card, but on that page you can find a driver for that, even though it is available only on some models). I mean, on that page the user cannot enter the full product number of the device in order to be able to download just the driver needed. This, actually, is quite a limitation of the lenovo website.
A direct link to the specific driver for my 80EW 0192IX would be of much better help ...

I see no power/energy management packages at all for Windows 7, x86 or x64. I don't see them for Win8/8.1, either. I only see energy-related packages for Windows 10.
If there was a package available for the machine, or if one becomes available, that's where you'd find it though.
Apologies, but I have no other suggestions.

Thank you sarbin for searching the driver for my device.
It's true that, if it was available, that is the web page to look at.
Nonetheless i have an unknown device in "device manager" that has the following hardware ID:
This situation has 2 possible explanation:
1) such unknown device is actually present in the laptop and Lenovo simply "forget" to post the proper driver.
2) for some reason there is not such device in the laptop (so it is showing up for some sort of software bug) and accprdingly there is no driver in the lenovo webpage.
Usually the simpler explanation is the one closer to the truth ....
