a year ago i my warranty was almost over and i had a defect on the audiojack. as Lenovo reinstalls the factory image ( to test the audio, makes sense) , i bought a usb audio replacement to avoid the repair, (couple of weeks ) and restoring the windows image from a backup ( 20 euro's for the audio usb versus much more time to gain repair.
in the end, my hard drive also gave some issues , so the warranty was settled. i got the laptop back and an unlucky mistake during repair caused a defect laptop returned so i got the second warranty for that mistake ( no sarcasme here, it can happen to the best.)
when i got the laptop back the bios reported invalid errors , as did software which is used to test GPU's. turns out that i got the laptop back without the AMD chipsset in it. as i have a spare laptop , i did not notice this right away and y the time that i did, the warranty was of course expired. moreover the laptop was running windows 10 insider preview and so i got the response that it was a driver mistake and i should revert to windows 8.1 and then all was fine. except for it was not. and still is not. i have tried every possible AMD solution ( DDU, manually updating , deinstalling Intel and AMD software and reverting to 8.1 but the AMD is not in the system..)
ergo: i bought the laptop as it had 2 GPU's ( not for gaming but just for a bit more power) and now i am stuck with just one GPU.
i am still hoping that someone will point me in the right direction and tell me that i really forgot something somewhere. and otherwise mayby lenovo could suggest something that will help.

If the unit was missing a part from a recent repair, then you should contact support again that this is missing from the unit, they should be able to help you to sort it out.
