My laptop was perfectly running with Windows 7, but now the time came to upgrade to Windows 10. I have 2 issues:
1. Optimus freezes the system. After the nvidia driver is installed, the whole system freezes, reboot does not help. Workaround is to set the GPU to UMA only in BIOS, it works like that, but then I cannot use the nvidia card.
2. The touchpad does not have a proper driver at all, therefore I cannot scroll with it. I tried installing the driver for windows 8, but then I have all sorts of weird issues, touch is not detected sometimes, etc.

Welcome to the Community Forums.
I have checked the compatibility of the device with Windows 10 and have found a few issues.
First: Driver support for this device is only up to Windows 7 more info here.
Second: The machine is not included in Lenovo's official Windows 10 compatibility list here.
Since the machine is not compatible with Windows 10, I recommend downgrading to Windows 7 to enjoy the full functionality of this machine.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. Windows 7 is supported by Microsoft only until January 14th, 2020, that's why the upgrade to Windows 10 is mandatory. So there is no chance that Lenovo will release some new drivers for an otherwise perfectly functioning laptop?

Thanks for writing back.
The B470 is already in its end of life cycle which means that driver updates are highly unlikely at this point.
Windows 7 will only be supported by Microsoft until January 2020 that is correct but the operating system itself is still considered stable and usable (I still actually have an old Thinkpad running Windows XP).
Hope this helps,
