I have a B50-30 Touch, for the past year or so, I have had brightness issues with the laptop. This comes in two forms. The first form being an inverted setting, increasing the brightness decreases it, and vise-versa. My temporary solution to this was to disable and then reenable my display. The second problem I have is being unable to adjust the brightness at all. I have tried updating my display adapter, but there are no new updates. I am looking for a permanent solution.

I would recommend that you attempt to use this brightness patch available from the support page:
https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/31bg00w7.exe
See if that is able to help out at all.
If that does not work, I would recommend that you attempt to follow the steps here to uninstall and reinstall the display drivers:

Apologies for the delay, I had given up. I have come again to try. Th first dowload did not resolve the issue. The second peice of information ultimately given led to a dead link. I did a scan via intel and am deciding on wheter or not I should install a generic driver.
A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver & Support Assistant is not able to update the driver. Installing a generic Intel driver instead of the customized computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues. Contact your computer manufacturer for the latest driver for your computer.
