B50-70 Video Memory

2017-07-24, 15:12 PM

Hi All,

I'll keep it simple.

I have a B50-70 Notebook. Can I upgrade my Video Memory (Video Card) as I'd like to start gaming on it...? If so, which cards are compatible with my notebook.

I have the standard Intel HD Graphics Card 1Gb on it.

Any comments welcomed.

Hi Whydle89,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Checking with the product specifications:

Some: Intel HD Graphics 5500 only, integrated in processor
Some: Integrated Intel Graphics and AMD Radeon™ R5 M230, 1GB or 2GB memory
Some: Integrated Intel Graphics and AMD Radeon™ R5 M330, 1GB or 2GB memory

Similar to most laptops the video chip are soldered on the main board and cannot be upgraded as it would include the entire system board to replace instead. Among Idealine family, it does not have specific sockets for the video chip.

Hope this help answer your query.
