B50-70 - unregistered battery message after replacing it

Hi,

I have a B50-70 and trying to replace the battery I have teh message:

Unregistered battery

After the battery arrive to less than 5%, as it is normal the laptop shutdown.

The problem is that the battery cannot be re-charged after this.

What should I do?

I forgot to tell that the new battery is not Lenovo original.

Maybe I made a mistake and I should buy an original one!

Thanks in advance for your help!

NS

I have Windows 10 on it.

Re: B50-70 - unregistered battery message after replacing it

It is better to go with a Lenovo supplied battery than with a third party (unless it is a really good third party) for batteries. I have good luck with Interstate Battery shops here in the US of A near my home.

Interstate Battery has been around for a long time in the US of A, is national seller and has a good line of batteries available. They can even rebuild some, right while you wait.

In this case - contact the seller of the battery you purchased, get a refund if possible then order a new battery from Lenovo if possible.

I do not work for Lenovo, I only provide suggestions based on my personal willingness to help others. All advice and comments are based on my experience, and do not reflect Lenovo policy, terms or conditions.
