B5400 bricked after bios update

After finished bios update downloaded from: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/pl/pl/products/LAPTOPS-AND-NETBOOKS/LENOVO-B-SERIES-LAPTOPS/LENOVO-B540...
laptop rebooted and then my screen went black, only power led was on.

I wrote ticket on this issue but nobody responded. I contacted with support via chat, but he wasn't able to help me.

Re: B5400 bricked after bios update

Welcome to the Lenovo Community  użyszkodnik  !

Sorry to hear of the problem you have encountered.  I would suggest that you do a hard reset of the CMOS.  This will insure that the new BIOS version isn't having a conflict with the stored information in the CMOS thus preventing boot up.  To do a hard reset unplug the system from the adapter and then disconnect the motherboard battery backup.  Once the battery is disconnected then press and hold the laptop's power button for 30 seconds to clear the CMOS.  Then reconnect the battery and try booting the computer up.

Page #37 of your model's Hardware Maintenance Manual will explain how to access and disconnect the motherboard backup battery.  Here is a link to that manual for your reference.....

Re: B5400 bricked after bios update

If that procedure didn't resolve the problem then the BIOS upgrade did indeed fail bricking the motherboard.

Re: B5400 bricked after bios update

Is there something I can do? I have read about recovery via Phoenix Wincrisis, and tried it, but it didn't helped - I think i did something wrong.

Re: B5400 bricked after bios update

I am not aware of any BIOS recovery procedure for your model.  That topic might be best asked of a local computer repair center.
