Re: BIOS for LENOVO IdeaPad B560

Another problem with wifi. In lenovo b560 we can find broadcom 4313. I replace wirelles card with broadcom 4312, but is not working. Message from bios: ERROR, Unauthorized Wirelles network card is plugged in. Power off and remove it.

Then i disable wifi in bios and then switch off wifi botton on laptop. When i get in os i switch wirelles on. only blotooth working.

Why no support for bcm 4312? We can find broadcom 4312 in other lenovo laptops.

We seriusly need bios update for wirelles support and nvidia switch without intel.

Re: BIOS for LENOVO IdeaPad B560

you cannot install every wireless adapter on your system due to bios protection ( white/black list )

Re: wi-fi whitelist for b560

i think to prevent future damages for mainboard or something like that. i really don't know why. you should ask it lenovo.

it's not there, it's in hardware maintenance manual.

Re: wi-fi whitelist for b560

the adapter you ordered is not intel 6200n, it's intel 6200 and not in the list. check ebay.
