Battery counter showing inaccurate percentage (G50)

Sorry I don't know the proper terms, but I need a way to fix this! I'm hoping you guys can help.

Since early this year, my laptop's battery counter keeps changing what percentage it's at. Quite often, my computer will lag and shut off, and when I turn it back on, it'll be 0%, even though before it was at, say, 40%. Sometimes it'll hibernate, other times just shut off, and some times I don't catch it before it happens. Some times it'll jump from a lower percentage back up to 100%.

I calibrated my battery yesterday, and it didn't help. I've even had three different batteries at this point (original, glitchy second one, and my present, which has been fine). I think the second battery is the one that started this mess, but I'm not sure. I'm sure its something internal anyway, hopefully something easy to fix.

I can't remember the stats, but it was something like these, though I don't know if that's any help or relevance? Li-ion,Voltage:14.4V Capacity:2200mAh;4 cells

Hi ellie4,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

We would like to know where you got the replacement battery did you purchase it from Lenovo or did you purchase from a third-party seller?
