Battery not recognised by Lenovo Toolbox or Power Manager

I purchased a G 570 about 6 weeks ago. About a week to ten days after the purchase I downloaded the Lenovo Toolbox, Since that time, I have a icon on my toolbar which shows a greyed out battery symbol with dotted lines. When I hover the cursor over it  'Battery not installed' appears. In addition Lenovo Power Manager also tells me that I do not have a battery installed.

My battery is alive and well - I have run my laptop several times for up to 4 hours on my battery!!! I have uninstalled the Lenovo Toolbox but to no avail. How can I fix this?

Please note, any suggestions will have to be in simple terms, as I am no expert.

Regards,

Don Stewart

Re: Battery not recognised by Lenovo Toolbox or Power Manager

I had removed Lenovo Tool box since that seemed to be the thing that caused the problem. I uninstalled Power Manager as you suggested. I could only find an exe file in Energy management which I assumed was the way to reinstall Power Manager. Those are the only changes I have made.

Thank you very much for your help.
