G580 Laptop (Lenovo) - Type 2189 - Model 59359963
My HDD stoped to work a week ago (noisy sound and HDD not detected in BIOS). I bought the new one.
The question is where can I download the Windows 8 installation image which woud't ask me for serial number like all the downloads from microsoft do?
Lenovo USBRecoveryCreator doesn't helps me because it require some kind of product tie up with my account, but all i can do is to find my laptop by serial number but can't tie it to account.
Admin note: serial number edited to avoid possible abuse.

Welcome to the Community Forums.
If you choose the same version to download, OEM version should automatically bypass the product key insert step and would automatically active soon as active network connection is established.
You can try to download the ISO image (newer version of the media cration tool). If in case there is a promt to try skip button and proceed installation. You can continue with Windows update that should also resolve the activation.
Update us how it goes.

Thank you, but this all is not so easy.
1. Download OEM. From where? Such link from Lenovo support will be the solution (for many equal threads btw).
2. Sure I have found this tool before and created the installation USB. BUT it require the KEY and no, there is no SKIP button.
PS: Attached is chat with Microsoft support. They are sending me back to you to ask for a "special copy".

With this premise, most likely you are asked to contact manufacturer to purchase an OEM installer if you have not created your recovery media before the issue happened. You can call in technical support and they would be able to transfer you to the department to process OEM recovery media for purchase.
Other google search may advise generic keys or install windows 8 without a product key thus modifying it.
