I have a G570 laptop for 3.5 years.
Since I am thinking to change the notebook's worn casing and hinges, I'd like to know if it is possible to change my monitor with a similar monitor which can work at 1920x1080 instead of 1366x768.
I read someone managed to do this with a thinkpad but I can't find an HD monitor for my own model with the same cable.
Any ideas or help would be appreciated

I guess your old screen is HD (1366X768) and you want to upgrade to Full HD (1920X1080). Is that correct?
Sometime upgarding from lower resulotion to high resolution work, but it is never recomended. Do you have old screen part number?

Did you change your monitor from 1366x768 to a 1920x1080?
I have a Lenovo G500 and want to do the same. I want to change the monitor but I want to ask if I have also to change the connecting cable to support from HD to Full HD. And if a Lenovo technician reads please specify part numbers to be exact for ordering. Thank you in advance!
