The hard drive on my Lenovo B590 laptop crashed and I was unable to load the recovery partition.
I replaced the hard drive, but did not create a recovery USB before my computer crashed, so I need to create one for my computer without access to anything on that computer.
I tried to get the files from Microsoft, but they recognized my windows registration code as being pre-installed on a Lenovo and told me to come here for the files, however I can't find them anywhere. As I mentioned earlier, all of the guidance for creating a recovery drive tells me to make one on the computer I am trying to recover, however, sind the HD died and was unbootable, I could not do that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping I do not have to purchase a new windows registration.

Welcome to the Community Forums.
What you need is the same windows version that came with your pc .
You can also puchase a full installer set from technical support.
Update us how it would work best for you.

I had tried to download the ISO files from microsoft, per the link that you included in your post, however they indicated that my product key was invalid because it was for a pre-installed version and that I would have to get the files from Lenovo, which is how I ended up here (after searching the site for some way to get the files).
I called the support number, and I'm hoping someone can help me get the information I need without having to pay Lenovo $70 for a recovery disk.

Hi alxsparks ,
Seems that the website would only accept retail product keys and not OEM.
The product key you entered appears to be for software that was pre-installed on a device. Please contact the device manufacturer for software recovery options. "
As OEM owners was either force to purchase copy from their manufacturer unlike before ,
