Sounds like the IP address is either reserved or in use.

In windows - open a "command prompt" using "Windows Key + R" and type cmd.exe then press enter. This will open a "DOS Box" window that you will be able to enter commands to the system.

At the C:\ type ipconfig.exe /flushdns and then press enter. This will flush the DNS memory stack on the computer, and hopefully allow DHCP services to resume correctly.

Also - you can try ipconfigexe /release and enter, then ipconfig.exe /renew and enter. These commands will release the bound ip address from your network adapter and then contact the DHCP server for a new one.

Post back and keep us updated.

Re: DHCP-Client IP lease denied event ID 1002

For your information, I've tried those option already. Including these steps below which fixed the issue actually but temporarily about 2 hours only then there'll be another new red mark in my Event Viewer, again, under same task category with error Event ID 1001 (IP address not assigned), 1002 (IP lease denied; as currently I'm issuing) & 1003 (IP lease renewal failed)  all three messing with DHCP-Client.

  • ipconfig/flushdns
  • nbtstat -R
  • nbtstat -RR
  • netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
  • netsh winsock reset

I've tried to run "net start dhcp server" after flushed the dns but no luck also.

So, earlier this morning I've contacted Lenovo support by chatting online & she assisted me to try Bootable Diagnostic complete with links for download & whatnot to check if it's hardware error issue connected or not. Unfortunately, there's no problem with all of the hardware scan results.

I know I'm supposedly bring this issue to Windows & Microsoft support but I've spent too long & too many but none of them were helping me so I apologise if I look too desperate because this is my another alternatives, finding solutions.
