Dolby Advanced Audio V2 Problem - Windows 7

2014-03-04, 19:44 PM

Dear Lenovo community, can anyone help me with Dolby Advanced Audio V2 problem, please?

The problem is that I'm not able to launch the application and I recieve following message :

" Dolby audio driver cannot start. If the problem persists, restart your computer or reinstall the driver. "

I tried to reinstall Conexant SmartAudio HD driver and Dolby application multiple times and it still not working, also I can't install Dolby Home Theater because:

" There is another PCEE product installed already. ..."

This laptop is only two month old, when I firstly installed all drivers Dolby worked and stopped working with no reason.

Addition: When it worked, I did some setting for my audio and these settings worked when application cannot be launched too.

I'm sure that I have latest and correct drivers.

Please help.

System Specifications :

 - Lenovo IdeaPad G500s, Windows 7 Ultimate x64

hi zwrtronpxict,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

Try Reinstalling Audio / Dolby Components in this order

Open Device manager and Uninstall the Audio Driver. (make sure to place a check on delete driver software prompt to rid of the driver completely from your system).

Then Open Control Panel / Uninstall a program and Uninstall all Dolby Component

then delete the Driver Backup under C: / Driver  / conexant folder.

Now Download the WIndows  Audio Driver and Install it

for your System, Here it is  Conexant Audio Driver

After Extraction and Installtion completes.

this will Creata a new back up under C: Driver folder.

Open that and find the DolbyGUI folder Open that and you'll find the Dolby Install that matches your Audio Driver

Hope this helps

Cheers!
