Dolby Advanced Audio

2015-08-03, 1:31 AM

Greetings!  I was just wondering if anyone else had the problem after upgrading to Windows 10, Dolby Audio Advanced v2 is no longer working.  I upgraded my sound drivers but I can't find the Dolby drivers for Windows 10.  Please help.  I can move the sliders but there's no changes in the sound.  Thanks.

 Hi vinnymac20000,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

Lets try unistalling and reinstalling the audio drivers,

1. Press the Windows key‌ Windows logo key+R, type appwiz.cpl.msc and press Enter. On the list of installed programs, remove anything that relates toRealtek Audio Driver or Conexant  and Dolby (reboot if necessary).

2. Delete the C:\Drivers folder Install this audio driver back

When downloading the driver go to support.lenovo.com and identify your device, download the Audio driver and install it.

3. Open Device Manager > Sound, video, and game controllers and check if the High Definition Audio becomes Realtek High Definition Audio or Conexant High Definition Audio (this indicates that the sound driver is installed properly).

When the audio driver is properly installed, install the DolbyAdvancedAudio and the DolbyHomeTheater from the following path:

For Realtek:

C:\Drivers\Audio\Realtek\6.0.1.6957\PCEE4

For Conexant:

C:\Drivers\Audio\Conexant\8.64.49.0\DolbyGUI

Let me know if this works for you!

Cheers!

Greetings! I tried typing the appwiz thing and nothing happens.  I get an error message.  I'll try deleting via uninstall program.

When I try installing the Dolby is says I need to install a PCEE.  Where can I get that file?
