After Windows update my WiFi adapter (Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165) just stopped working.
I tried many drivers, but the official driver did not work, the latest (2017-10) driver from intel's websites is not working either. Rolling back the driver is not working anymore after windows update.
I tried static IP, did not help. This is not an adapter issue, because on Ubuntu it's working very well.
After connecting to a network, the connection stays alive for 2-5 secs, then the adapter restarts automatically.
In event viewer I can see some warnings.
WLAN Extensibility Module has stopped.
Module Path: C:\WINDOWS\System32\IWMSSvc.dll
It's extremely annoying because it's a "bussiness" category laptop without wireless connection.
Any ideas ?
Can I download from somewhere some older drivers for this adapter ? Third party sites are not an option. : )
PS: It's a Lenovo B51-80 (80LM00FERI)

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
Try to download the Chipset drivers for the unit from the support page. Make sure to reboot after an update on the unit.
If not already, attempt to revert back to the previous Windows update and see if the issue persists at all.
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
