Re: G40-45 - Battery Plugged in, charging, not but the power not increase

Hi doulosmanik24 ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Is the current Windows version the same as when it came ?

What version would you have currently?

How was the battery report?

You may try this step shared in this post :

Unplug AC adapter and Shutdown the system. Remove battery, Connect AC Adapter and Start windows. Uninstall Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery from device manager under the battery tab. Shutdown, Remove AC Adapter, Install battery, Reattach AC Adapter. Now, Power up and check.

To physically check for battery charging , turn off the system and notice the battery indicator that may be blinking amber . Without turning on the machine , just connect the charger for 2-3 hours as it suppose to change status of battery indicator as shown in the battery indicator (page 29). You can also proceed on checking the battery pack after (page 22).

Update us as soon as convenient.

Regards

Re: G40-45 - Battery Plugged in, charging, not but the power not increase

Hi Spidey101, I come across this forum because I am experiencing the same issue with the thread creator. I have bought a new replacement battery for my G40-45. I have charged the battery, but the battery led indicator still blinks very quick. It also shows the status "0% Available (plugged in, charging" but the battery percentage does not increase. I have tried your suggestion earlier as many people shared the same suggestion on the internet, but it did not work: "Unplug AC adapter and Shutdown the system. Remove battery, Connect AC Adapter and Start windows. Uninstall Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery from device manager under the battery tab. Shutdown, Remove AC Adapter, Install battery, Reattach AC Adapter. Now, Power up and check." The battery type and specification is totally the same and original from Lenovo. Please help, thank you in advance.

Hi shihabmohammad,

Greetings.

If the above steps fails then perhaps having the systemboard checked.

Regards

Re: G40-45 - Battery Plugged in, charging, not but the power not increase

Hi, I have asked for a new replacement battery. I attached the battery and it worked just fine like normal in the first time. But, now the battery charging stucks at 32%, although I leave my laptop charging overnight. When I turn the laptop on and disconnect the charger, it suddenly turn off. The battery white led blinks every 5 secs simultaneously. So frustrated.
