G40-70 cam doesn't work after Windows 10 install

I've upgrade for Windows 10 and the cam isn't work anymore. I tryed to install all drivers for W10 64bits available in Lenovo support site but any one works. Anyone can help to solve it? See attached print screen error - CODE 0xA00F4244(0xC00D36D5)

Since the HD was formated the partition for recovery was deleted.

Any other suggestion?

Re: G40-70 cam doesn't work after Windows 10 install

Method 1:

I solved mine by expanding Universal Serial Bus controllers in Devices Manager, then right clicked the Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller which was showing exclamation mark and Update Driver. After the driver was updated my old webcam magically reappeared under Imaging Devices.

Method 2:

You may need to send the laptop to Lenovo facility to restore the hidden partition and restore the One key features.

Another option is to purchase the media installer that hold both windows and drivers for your laptop.

Sadly, I do not know any way to recover that partition. As I have seen on this forum several people who lost that partition could not roll back their laptop to original settings without a recovery drive (which is different from a recovery backup).

Worst case, you can order recovery media from Lenovo support that should put the machine back to its out-of-the-box condition.

Schedule a Call-back for faster support or I would recommend you to contact Lenovo service center and report your findings.

Update us how it goes.
