This post is just to let the readers who are looking for information regarding to the subject.
I've just finished replacing my Lenovo G40-80 stock 500GB HDD, with newly bought "Kingston A400 480GB" SSD. I clone/migrate the OS (Windows 10) with "MiniTool Partition Wizard". Switch on the laptop and the boot is super fast!
Later I wipe the OS partition of the HDD & put it into the DVD-ROM slot using a "9.5mm Second HDD Caddy". Switch on the laptop and now I got extra storage!
Last but not least, I install additional memory RAM of Kingston KVR16LS11/8 DDR3L 8GB to compliment the stock 4GB RAM. Now I got a comfortable 12GB of RAM!
That's all I want to share, hope it will help those who plan to upgrade or having some issue midway. Cheers!
