G40-80 not boot, fan and led turn on for a second then stop

2018-11-14, 10:32 AM

Yesterday My I was surfing on the Internet, suddenly my G40-80 laptop screen goes black, nothing is working. Then I hard shut down the laptop by pressing the power button. then I try to power it on but it's not booting just power led comes up for a second and fan spin for a second and stop everything nothings working. After that, I thought maybe there is a short in the motherboard so, i open up the laptop and disconnect every part to check, but there is nothing unusual, i reassemble everything and check, the same thing is happing. i will attach a video down below.

Is there anyone who face the same problem? or anyone knows how to solve it.

NB: I didn't have any battery for 1 year, I ran it with power adaptor.

Thanks.Go to https://youtu.be/8PiAyx_yBEs

Hi Akter! Welcome to our forums community. Try booting to BIOS and check if the HDD is detected under the Information tab. You can follow the instruction here: https://support.lenovo.com/gb/en/solutions/ht500216 to boot to BIOS.

If the HDD is detected, perform a BIOS reset.
Once you are in the BIOS page, go to the Exit Tab > Choose Load default settings > Hit the Enter Key > Choose Yes. After that, still in the Exit Tab > Choose Exit saving changes. Your computer will attempt to restart. Update us with the result.
