G410 2049-55Q Wifi Drivers

I am trying to get my Wifi Card working on my (Lenovo 3000 G410 2049-55Q) under FreeBSD. The pciconf returns the name of the WiFi card as "Broadcom Dell 1390 Mini-PCI card". I tried using ndisulator for installing the drivers. The ndis0 interface turns up after installing. But I am unable to do a ifconfig up scan. I have tried many options with ndis but I am not sure if I have the correct drivers.

I got the best results (ndis0 shows up. but not able to use) by using an HP driver. bcmwl5.inf and .sys.

The CD which came along with the Laptop (G400/G410) does not have a broadcom driver for wireless. It has Intel and Gemtek. my questions are the following.

1) Which is the correct driver I should look for? (Intel/Gemtek/Broadcom?)

Where can I download the same.

If anyone has got the card working under Linux or BSD I would be interested to hear about the same.

I can post the entire dmesg and pciconf etc if anyone is interested.

Re: G410 2049-55Q Wifi Drivers

It's not a secret that some companies have separate variants of name for inside market and worldwide.

Broadcom also can be called Gemtek, sometimes it is shortened as BCM, GTC and GTK.

So, you need Gemtek drivers.
