G410 not connecting in wireless

2008-09-24, 13:03 PM

I have a G410 notebook model 2049 52q with gemtek wireless lan card.

I hv installed win xp sp2 with all drivers.  But it is not connecting to wireless router of DLink or Linksys.

No light for wireless is glowing. While other Lenovo notebook of N series is connecting fine with router.

G 410 is not connecting with another wireless laptop. It just does not show any wireless network in range

To make wireless network working you must match three conditions:

1) Drivers are installed (no yellow marks in Device Manager)

2) Hardware switch is ON (it's on right side of notebook, near power chord)

3) Fn+F5 utility is working.

Check these please and post back if everything is as described.

Drivers are installed (no yellow mark)

H/w Switch is On

Fn+f5 (not sure weather it is working or not as there in no utility s/w for this and no onscreen display is comming for this)

but by pressing it 1time and 2 time , we tried but it is not responding to wireless network

Maybe this utility is stoping wireless network. Try uninstalling drivers and downloading and installing this one - Broadcom drivers are universal for Vista and XP and usually Vista drivers are better.
