Hi ZKUALO4!

Welcome to the Community,

Other users have the same issue in the discussion below:

https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-B-and-G-Series-Notebooks/Lenovo-G580-cannot-access-BIOS-after-installing-Ubuntu-Fix/m-p/2153802#M46868

and were able to access BIOS after trying the suggested solution. You may also try it and check how it goes.

Regards,

Thanks for the update. There's a disclaimer on the thread that the Ubuntu won't boot no more after trying the suggested solution, but will fix the issue in accessing the BIOS. If it doesn't work, do you have the Windows 7 installed in a USB / CD? You can try inserting the media and check if it's accessible in the Boot Menu:

If we can't access boot menu, it would be best to contact support for service options.

Bringing the laptop to the nearest service listed in the link below will also be helpful.

Did the notebook ship to you with an OS (Windows, Linux, DOS) installed?  If so, did you make any recovery disks? If it did ship with Windows, but you do not have recovery disks you might be able to obtain them for a moderate fee from Lenovo Support.  Contact them via phone to proceed.

If your Notebook did not ship with a pre-installed version of Windows then you will need to obtain a retail copy of Windows 7 on DVD to re-install the operating system to the computer.  After you have install Windows 7 from the DVD, download all the Windows 7 drivers from Lenovo and install them to fix (unknown hardware) missing hardware in the Device Manager.

Good luck.
