Re: Factory Reset

Hi azanene ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

How did you perform the factory reset?

About OKR (page 26), usually turning off the machine and pressing the Novo Button (item 2 page 9) to turn on.

OKR menu would offer System Recovery from initial backup that would restore also same preloaded factory application similarly installed using a factory imager.

About one note , it is installed on Windows as feature when you log in your microsoft account .

Microsoft store would likewise offer same Lenovo apps using the keyword lenovo.

Hope this help answer your query.

Update us how things go.

Regards

Re: Factory Reset

I guess I have messed everything up. if there is another way to get some of the applications back, I would be glad but if no; well, I just have to keep cope with my mistakes

Re: G50-45 - Factory Reset

Hi azanene ,

The OKR factory reset is hidden on the harddrive partition so you can always try it at anytime as it would restore everything back like from out of the box. Back up your files since would remove and reimage the C drive.

If after OKR that you would still notice slow performance then better to run diagnostics.

Update us how it goes.

Regards

Re: G50-45 - Factory Reset

Hi azanene ,

Good to know you were able to break the cycle of recovery loop.

At this point I would suggest that you either have a bit patience for updates since it would be a bulk and would require couple of pre requisite updates to be cascaded one at a time.

Patience is needed as allow windows aupdate to recognized each as it is needed (may take turning off to allow updates to install silently before other update is to be offered by the Microsoft server).

Else you may call in Microsoft for those update if you needed assistance doing it manually . Try to block any security software (I usually disable my antivirus or even uninstall it) and even set the machine into clean boot to make a clear path for those updates as it comes as long as the MS server doen't have any issue at the time.

As the main query has been resolved , you may also post a new one on the software category for fellow software members would be able to contribute other options for you.

Regards
