G50-45 - No bootable device

2017-05-11, 10:45 AM

Hello, I am stuck with the same prompt----EFI network 0 for IPv4 & 6 (50-7B-9D-26-9C-41) boot failed.---- Default boot device is missing or boot failed. Insert recovery media and hit any key then select 'boot manager' to choose a new boot device or to boot recovery media-----then i get two option on boot manager or boot menu which is windows boot manager (ST1000LM024 HN-M101MBB) and EFI PXE Network. Both ultimately results with---No Bootable Device -- Please Restart System. It's an endless loop. I have no other option but to get into the bios but I need the system password. Does anyone know what the system password is for lenovo g50-45?

Mod's Edit: System model added to the front of Subject line to improve visibility / clarity.

Hello

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.

There is not a password set by default, this would have had to have been set by someone else, you can try the following post, see if this could be of help.

Sounds like you may have an issue with your HDD, try to do a factory reset, if this does not work, get in touch with your local Lenovo support, and see if you are able to request a recovery media from them.

Otherwise, I would recommend that you get in touch with them if the above does not work for a possible repair service.

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
