The moderator that has it out for me may ban me soon, so... Hopefully, you have the answers you need (That Lenovo lies and scams it's customers).  Hopefully you get this post before it is deleted as Lenovo likes to censor it's customers as well.

yes.  they don't care about their customers and their mission statement is a lie.  I got rid of it.

The solution therefore is never to buy a Lenovo product.

Freghi, com'è?!

As of today I'm able to download the latest BIOS release (1.08) from Lenovo support website, which enables AMD SVM option on the bios menu.

Enjoy.

G50-45 is virtualized machine but Company forget to give the option to activate AMD-V in bios, Simple downoad the Bios update version 1.8 from official support website of lenovo, install it from windows xp or 7, After reboot your bios will be automatically upgraded and you will get the option enabled virtualization.

Re: G50-45 Virtualization - Solved

2015-03-04, 3:41 AM

Hi,

Sorry, but i have been reading some posts here and i can't update the BIOS (from the 1.06 to 1.08 version). I've already disabled the Secure Boot and changed boot mode from UEFI to Legacy in the BIOS Menu. After installation of the new version, the laptop reboots and i see the known message:

InsydeH20 - Secure Flash

Error: Firmware update failed!!!

Please press any key to reset system....

Please, i need a solution, i want to enable the virtualization in mi BIOS to run Ubuntu (64 bits) by using VirtualBox.

Thanks
(Sorry for my english language)
