G50-70 / My headphones don't show in playback devices.

Hello,

 

I bought my Lenovo G50-70 about a year ago and updated to Windows 10 about a month ago (so the option to downgrade to Windows 8 is no longer available). Everything was working fine up until today, I turned on my laptop and tried plugging in my headphones but no sound would come out (speakers work just fine though). After looking for the cause of the problem, I found out that my headphones no longer show up in playback devices; all I see is Conexant SmartAudio HD.

 

I tried all possible solutions including:

 

- Showing disabled/disconnected devices (nothing there).

- Downloading software from the support site

- Updating and rolling back drivers

- Plugging in different headphones

 

Bear in mind, my headphones were working fine with Windows 10 until today.

 

Please tell me there's some kind of solution.

Ok, so I've uninstalled Windows 10 Conexant SmartAudio HD and downloaded the Windows 8.1 version and while it did fix the problem, I still don't see my headphones in playback devices...
