Re: Lenovo Warranty

Hi sheilamae19 ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Conditions that can cover it if you got ADP (Accidental Damage Protection) warranty included (with additional charge) on the laptop aside from the standard Limited Standard Warranty .

The limited warranty only covers functionality issue on the machine or devices therein but would not cover user induced damage .

With an ADP : WHAT’S TYPICALLY COVERED?
Accidental drops, spills, bumps, and structural failures
incurred under normal operating conditions or handling,
including electrical surges and damage to the integrated LCD
screen

You can check your warranty here

Hope this help answer your query.

Regards

Re: Lenovo Warranty

Hi sheilamae19 ,

Some resellers may include full listing of purchased item on the receipt aside from the machine item like ADP and microsoft products.

Best way to check is using your serial number and check on your warranty online or through a store warranty if have it.

If you do not recall purchasing additional damage protection plan , I am a bit pessimistic that you have but try to call the reseller too for a store warranty.  Do not turn on the machine yet and position it in a way that liquid would stay out of the mainboard and have it taken to the nearest service center.

Regards

Re: Lenovo Warranty

Hi sheilamae19 ,

I would suggest not to use it yet as generating power inside may cause bigger problem.

Sticky / retaining fluids on the boards is a conductor that may lead to short circuiting the systemboard.

Have it checked first.
