G50 brightness Problem Windows 10

2016-08-11, 18:30 PM

Hi, the screen on my G50 Laptop with Intel HD graphics running on Windows 10 suddenly went very dim & brighness control wont response. I tried everything from Rolling back the driver to installing the latest drive to editing registry but non of these solutions worked.

its been almost a week I've been trying without sucess. my screen is soo dim it looks as if its off. Im using an external monitor on VGA to find a solution. Kindly help. thanks.

Is your screen working fine on any other. please give a try with linux live disk. Also install the latest driver available on intel support rather than lenovo support.

mAke  a linux based live usb/cd and check on it. you can use any linux distro for that.

I made the bootable Linux USB but i could not use it becasue the screen is too dim for me to see the boot up options when i restart the PC, and the external monitor would not work unless windows starts!

could it be a hardware proble? I tried all the solutions i found on google, youtube and all the tech forums but nothing seems to work!
