G505s booting issues

Hello,

 

Im currently having a booting issue with my G505s.

The computer starts the LENOVO boot screen comes on, it idles for a sec, then the screen blanks out with the back light still on. Seems like it freezes in that transitional stage between the LENOVO boot screen and the login screen..

 

I did a bit of researching and tried every trick I ran into on the web, but none have helped. Tricks like the battery removal. Can't even get into safe mode. I'm at a loss. 

 

Can an anyone help me through this? I have a lot of Solidworks saves and whatnot I would not like to lose...

Hi Sparkss,

 

Welcome to the Forum,

 

As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with system not booting in your Lenovo G505s laptop.

 

Boot the system into BIOS and check for the issue, also remove the HDD and reseat the HDD and restart the system and check if the system boots into windows.

Hi Ashwin,

Thank you for your reply.

I have tried removing the HDD, but it has brought me no sucess. I booted into BIOS and reset it to factory setting, still no sucess.

I also tried removing ram, exchaging slots, etc...no sucess. And sadly, I am out of warranty.

What can I do next?

Hi Sparkss,

 

Try to reinstall the operating system and check for the issue, if still the same issue then this could be issue with the hardware hence request you to visit the nearest service centre for further details.
