I've looked for a solution on here, but nothing seems to work and nothing seems to refer specifically to this problem on my machine.
Last night, my computer randomly shut down, then would not reboot past the "Lenovo" screen. I've tried the Novo button to "System Restore," and several other options. Nothing gets me any farther than a "Diagnosing your computer" screen, or the spinning dots indicating *something* is happening, but nothing ever changes beyond that.
I'd love to have any suggestions. All of my important stuff is backed up, so I don't need to worry about files.

Hi JT79 ,
Welcome to the Community Forums.
You can exhaust this options first .
I usually make the advance recovery option forced to appear by turning it on then off (manually pressing the power button) on and off again for 2-3 series.
Another advance steps here as an option for your G51-35.
Else try to power off and unplug the ac adapter then press down the power button (12 seconds) to drain flea power.
Connect the ac power then use the novo button while off to turn on (assuming that the harddrive is still good).
This should present the Novo menu for system recovery One Key recovery from initial backup for the factory reset.
Update us how it goes.
