G510 - Drivers Problem I think ..

Hello everyone .

I recently bought an Lenovo g510 20238 . I installed all the drivers on the site , i am running an Win 10 64bit , recently installed . My problem is that i can't play games decent meaning in CS GO with everything on low i have 30-40 fps , in Dota 2 same with everything on low i can barely move on the map and i have even lower fps i move in pictures .. Not to mention any newer games .. When i play the laptop itself makes a lot of noise and it barely moves . I have tried reinstalling win , reinstalling drivers i don t know what the problem may be but i think the drivers because when i m not in games the laptop is running ok . Help please !

Hi MILAN11 and welcome to the community

Does your machine have a dedicated GPU or just the Intel chip?

Will need to know what CPU / Graphics are installed to provide better help.  Right now all I can say is that if your notebook as an i3, i5 or i7 with only Intel HD graphics then gaming will not be it's strong point.  The Intel HD Graphics is not strong, nor meant to provide the user with a gaming platform, it is best used for productivity software or movie / video playback.

If your notebook has an AMD A4 or simialr it will have better graphics capablity, but the best gaming notebooks are those that have a dedicated graphics card installed.

EIther way - we need better information on what CPU is installed, what graphics hardware is in use, and how much system memory is present.  This can all be determined from the Device Manager, System Properties or with a third party application like CPU-Z.

Good luck

CB.

Re: G510 - Drivers Problem I think ..

I would suggest opening Device Manager and looking at which hardware is installed for display adapters.  If Intel HD graphics is the only one present there is either a hardware or driver issue with the dedicated AMD card.

If both AMD and Intel are present, then it may be a conflict in drivers, one that would be best resolved by uninstalling both, then run CCleaner or similar.  Once completed, load the AMD drivers first, restart and let the Intel HD drivers come in afterwards.

Good luck.
