G555 mft:0873 Help!

Hi everyone,

My laptop G555 manufacter of 0873 just blacked out yesterday. I just turned on my laptop and was using it for about 15 min watching a video when it just blacked out. The computer then turned off and on several times like it was being putting on and off sleep mode. I felt the fan and it wasn't really hot since i was using for about 15 min prior. At some point, the laptop flashed red (the indicator for low battery) even though it was running from the cord (and not from the battery only)

I left it alone overnight, maybe something did overheat. But now i push the power button, i hear it turn on but screen remained black/off. Sometimes, once it turns on, it stays on but no visual. Once, it was able to get to the screen where it asks to start windows normally or in safe mode.Other times, it turns on then off like sleep mode. I have no idea what is wrong..please help

Thank you

Re: G555 mft:0873 Help!

try this: remove the battery, unplug the ac-power, press power button for 30-40 seconds, replace the battery and check if it works.

also, if you can, try to remove/replace/swap the ram sticks. again, if you have hdmi/vga cable, check if the issue persists with external monitor.

It worked once but then the same thing occured. Do you know why this is happening? Is there a warranty generally on laptops? is it usually one year or two

Re: G555 mft:0873 Help!

can you try the trick again? using the computer on battery?

as you said, it's normally one-two year but you can extend your warranty before it expires.

Re: G555 mft:0873 Help!

i'm not sure what's the issue, yet.
can you check safe mode if the issue still persists?
