G560 CD ripping

2010-10-18, 15:40 PM

Hi all,

ripping of CDs on my G560 is extremely slow (0.9 to 1.2x) while the same CDs on another laptop can be ripped much faster.

I am using Exact Audio Copy on both laptops with same settings.

Is there any fix to increase ripping speed?

Thanks

Giovanni

I am trying to rip a music cd (copy the songs on the HD as FLAC files) not to burn it.

Thanks

just try to burn mp3 for once.

if it doesn't take long - i don't think it'll - encoding music files may take some time so it's normal to burn audio discs for 5-15 minutes or more.

Maybe you should use a testing software to test your optical drive and discard any hardware problem.

I have checked the driver with OptiDrive control and the read speed simms ik (medium 15x)

I also have tried to rip without any postprocessing ie directly waw files: same problem about 1 hour to rip a cd.

Windows mediaplayer its faster but I do not rely on its accuracy.
