G560 -Windows 10 Intel & Touchpad drivers crash?

2015-08-01, 22:34 PM

Hi

I have the Lenovo G560 and recently upgraded to Windows 10, my main issue I have is crashes with drivers. My Intel graphics driver and other Intel programs don't open (they crash), same applies to my Elantech touchpad driver, I have two Elan tabs in the mouse/touchpad settings attempting to change any settings leads to a crash (touchpad mouse speed is too slow).

Anyone else with any of these issues? Any fixes? :smileysad:

I upgraded to Windows 10 Pro on my G560 yesterday and I noticed that the Elan app was crashing when I tried to enter the settings to adjust the scrolling feature. If I am not mistaken, a lot of the options are missing from the app. On the whole, my system, which I upgraded from Windows 7 Home Basic to Windows 7 Profession and now Windows 10 Professional, seems to be working pretty well. It is still early days though. I wonder if we will get driver updates for this old system.

Yeah my Elan also crashed. I doubt we will get driver updates, Intel no longer supports the Arrandale processor family (so graphics update is out), I doubt Lenovo will do anything. Anyway I am back to Windows 7 HP-all is good. I will probably go back to Windows 10 in the near future and do a clean install. :robothappy:

It would be unfortunate if we didn't get drivers. This system was released in 2010, so, it is not so long ago. There must be a few million out there being used, with owners eager to upgrade to Windows 10, given the promise of a smooth upgrade by Microsoft.

I am having the same issue with the driver... it works but i can not adjust any of the settings and none of the gestures work. I have no way of scrolling with the trackpad. Hopefully we can get some help with this or i am going back to 7. There may be some keyboard issues as well PgUp works but PgDn does not.
