Very sadly I got the same problem with the same laptop model, it was suppossly sent to Lenovo which DENIED THE CLAIM, I can see this a very common problem with this model and they are trying to take no responsibility for the poor quality of their products, I guess the only choice I am going to have is to  let them keep it and go to court to fight for a refund, I am not going to pay for the repair!!

I have the same problem with the g580. Lenovo screwed up with the design. at least they should offer free shipping of screws to their customers by filling an online form. I need two screws.

Super! Awesome! to read all THESE.. I am not alone to experience these.. the right corner of my hinge of g570 came off after 14 months of purchase.. In India, they asked for almost 100$ for this repair.. My next upgrade would not be another lenovo.. for sure!

Re: G570 Screws

I bought the G570 for my husband a couple of years ago for Christmas. We are old and on a fixed income. When the screws came out of the hinges after just a couple of months I was told by Lenovo that it was not covered under warranty but if I wanted to send it back they would replace the case. All together the cost was close to $200! We cannot afford that when I already scraped for literally months just to buy the stupid thing. I took it to a local computer repair and they said that just in our little town they've seen probably 70 of these laptops with the same exact issue. It is a design defect and that is all there is to it. This is a terrible design and then Lenovo compounds it with their bad attitude and crappy customer service. They outsource the so-called customer service to India so that tells you right there how much they care about customer service. I cannot understand most of what they say. I will NEVER buy another Lenovo product and I will do my best to stop anyone I know from buying one as well.

Probably, we all should have googled a lot more before making Lenovo Compromise (R) TM.

My G50-45 screw came out within the first month and then another screw months later. With other issues regarding the touchpad wearing out and touchpad button getting loose, so bought another laptop since I don't this one will last til Chrismas (was going to wait til then for the deals but need a good laptop for school) and will avoid this brand for now on.

I have a problem similar to yours. I solved the problem with a screw and nut and was fine for 3 years.
But now my upper case was broken in the top left corner near the hinge.

Lenovo's Service in Romania asked me to send my laptop in service shop for 1to 7 day for a diagnostic and only after that they can tell me a price for repaireven if i sent them the above picture  .....and they asked for

equivalent to around $ 20 just to tell me what's broken.

Does anyone know where I can buy case that?
