G570 Windows 10 slow boot

Hi,

2-3 days ago I upgraded my G570 from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and now I am sufferring from massively lengthened boot time. The first symptom is a black screen after seeing the Windows loading animation and PC manufacturer's logo, this black screen takes more than a 1 minute and 20 seconds.... Smiley Sad

I have two display adapters:

1. AMD Radeon HD 6300m Series

2. Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000

(Drivers are updated, windows 64bit version 1511, update was released on April 2016)

The second symptom:

It Looks like windows always uses the last one while I think that the first is better, the max resoultion for my laptop screen isjust 1366*768

The third symptom:

I use SSD card and it seems like sometimes I have disruptions from my graphic card, seems like it's not smooth as before with windows 7.

Wishing for your help..

Shay

Re: G570 Windows 10 slow boot

Welcome to the Forums Shay.

The issue that you’re having is most likely the one discussed in this article.

First of all, double-check that your version of Windows is not infected with any viruses.

Go into the Startup and Recovery and check if "Time to display list of operating systems" is set to I it’s default of 30 seconds.

I set mine to 5  seconds even though I also get the black screen and what is probably not being displayed during the black screen is the boot choice menu.

This should cut 25 seconds off your boot time.  I just set mine to 0 and it still booted without needing to hit the ENTER key so setting it to 0 should cut 30 seconds off the boot time.

Update us how it goes.

Re: G570 Windows 10 slow boot

 Hi

Thanks for trying but the problem is still standing.

* I read the article, the issue on the link is not the same.

* No virus.

* I set "Time to display list of operating systems" to 0 ->> Has no effect.

* I think the problem has something to do with the graphic cards or their drivers .. In windows 7 it was OK!

* I add this youtube video so everyone can understand the problem better:
