I have a G580 and it appears that the Power Manager is causing some conflict with my Wireless connectivity.
If the laptop is plugged in to AC then wireless connects fine. If it's running on battery then it won't connect unless energy management is set to 'Performance' instead of default 'Balanced.'
I'm currently on Windows 8 and have tried energy management version 220.127.116.11 & 18.104.22.168, and the latest version for win7 all with the same result.
I've unchecked the box in device manager for the wireless network adapter to "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."
Any advice to rectify this issue?
Our community user verified that although reinstalling Lenovo Energy managent might do the trick. you may also want to try checking the Window power options.
To do this please follow the steps below.
> Go to "Control Panel" > Click on "Power Options" > Click on "Change plan Settings" (Located on the Right) > Click on "Change advance settings" (located at the bottom left) > A new window should appear and find "Wireless Adapter" > "Power saving mode" > Change the settings for "On battery" and "Plugged in" to Maximum performance.
