This is the same version that you gave at the beginning of the year?

 To Cleo_Lenovo, Micerus

The 7ACN89WW.exe is exactly the same file I gave to you beginning of the year.

Please be careful - this bios does change the boot sector of some usb-boot-sticks and makes them unuseable. It is very surprising, that a BIOS does a overwriting of boot-sticks.

Re: G700 f4 problem

Hello,

The keys F1-F12 at the top of my G700 can always be used..which can be nice, but is a problem for me. As a gamer, I sometimes see myself accidentally clicking F4 and closing my entire game, when I wanted to hit regular 4. Also, I could use those buttons for other keybinds.

So I was wondering if there is a way to make it so they only work when pressing ALT simultaneously, so Alt-F1 instead of F1.

Help would be appreciated!

Re: G700 f4 problem

Cleo, I just upgraded the bios (windows 8.1) from the download (7acn89ww) following the instructions.  When I hit power up again after the upgrade, it goes about 15 sec with the dots spinning and then stops.  Looking at the bios screen, the current BIOS is 7acn89ww and EC is 7acn23ww.  Is there any way to backout the new BIOS and reboot with 7acn23ww?  Thanks for the help you've given this forum.  Dennis

UPDATE to G700 bios update not booting:  I've discovered that the G700 bios update 7ACN89WW trashed the uefi boot of my harddrive.  Now I need to know how to fix the boot sectors on the harddrive to be able to boot the operating system that was on the system when the upgrade trashed it.  Any suggestions???
