I swapped the motherboard in my g700, now bios shows invalid serial number and model type.
Is the serial number embedded on the board and is there a way to retreive it?
thanks

HI jmf1964!
The serial number and the license key for the Operating System is embedded on the original motherboard of the computer.
It is best to reach out to our support team to check for further options on how to retrieve it. Here's the list of our support phone numbers https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht118678

Thank you for responding but I was asking about the model and serial number of the laptop itself. Windows 10 came with a new license key, that is working fine.
With the old board installed the lenovo support page scanned the laptop and put the model and serial number at the top of the page, now, with the board swapped, that same page says "invalid" for model and serial number.
