G780 3612QM wifi card upgrade

Hello Community !
I have a G780 since 09/2012 now. (3612QM upgraded with 2x8GB ram, 500GB disk)
Everthing works fine but I'd like toi benefit from my new 802.3ac access point which should give me better coverage and performance.
Actual wifi chipset only support b/g modulation...
Did someone already do this kind of modification ?
Already had a look inside and noticed that actual mini-pcie car is a 2antennas model...

Re: G780 3612QM wifi card upgrade

hi forumer,

Welcome to the Lenovo Community.

Your issue might be similar to this thread.

If you're getting an "Unauthorized Wireless Network Card plugged in" when you try your card, this might be because of the wifi card whitelist which only allows lenovo certified WLAN cards to work on the system. So far, the only way to bypass this is thru BIOS modification (discussion here, here, and here) as there's no BIOS updates available yet from the lenovo website.. Flashing a modded BIOS though into your machine is risky as it may brick your PC so take every necessary precaution.

Hope this helps.
