G780 - Wireless card

I have problem with wireless card or Windows 8 on this computer.

When I enter the laptop into sleep mode after re-awakening does not always work in wireless card.

Windows say " I can not connect to the network "

If i want connect to my wireless network i must reboot computer several times..

I thing it's can be a problem with wireless router. However, the computer when can not connect to my wireless network he can not connect to any other wireless network in the area where people use different wireless router models.

Any Other computer in my house who have wireless card connect without any problems in a few seconds for all available wireless networks

I try reinstall drivers for wireless card - now i use 2012-03-13,  - it does not help.

I don't know what to do,  that it started to work properly.. or maybe it's a problem with Windows 8?

Computer spec:

Lenovo G780 with Windows 8 - 64 bit

Wireless card:   Broadcom 802.11N Network Adapter

Thanks for any help

Re: G780 - Wireless card

It's a Windows 8 issue and not your router. I thought the same, too, when I first bought my G780 with Windows 8, but after a month the issue went away.

Re: G780 - Wireless card

It is the crappy wifi that that model comes with. Look around at all the angry folks on the forum

Re: G780 - Wireless card

I usually just diable the wireless card in the control panel, then re-enable it and it works 99.9% of the time without having to restart completely. Try that.

Re: G780 - Wireless card

It might be Mcafee. I had the same issue and upon googling it I found out its a known issue with the Mcafee software. I uninstalled it and since i've had no issue with my wireless.

Re: G780 - Wireless card

See the thread here:

I had the same problems, and Lenovo had to replace the wireless card under warranty with a different model card.
