Getting error WHD01V002-DN7V0E when a hardware scan is done.

I upgraded my laptop G50-70 to windows 10 from pre-installed 8.1 sometime back. The laptop was performing ok but in recent times it became very slow booting up and also logging in. I ran the hardware scan from Lenovo Solution Center. Everything checked out good except for the following. tests under Storage devices. The code that I received for tests against Storage Devices is Result Code: WHD01V002-DN7V0E

SMART Status TestPassed
Targeted Read TestFailed
Random Seek TestPassed
Funnel Seek TestPassed
SMART Short Self TestWarning
SMART Drive Self TestWarning

Did anyone experience the same? What would be a good resolution for this.

Thanks in advance...

Hi lenovouser75,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

It would be the best time to backup your files and create a recovery media for the purpose of reinstalling Windows 8 back to a new replacement harddrive.

Take this opportunity while you can still make it boot as the harddrive may soon fail in the near future.

I hope this helps answer your query.
