Graphic Card Slot in Lenovo G560

I have a LenovoG560 laptop with Pentium P6200 processor and Intel HD graphics. I want to add a NVIDIA Graphic Card, is that possible? Is there any slot for graphic card in G560?

You have nvidia card or intel hd graphics. Look on your device manager.

There are G560 models with Nvidia 310M or hd graphics...

Re: Graphic Card Slot in Lenovo G560

The graphics card is soldered on the motherboard, so you'd have to swap the entire motherboard for one equipped with the NVidia GPU.

Re: Graphic Card Slot in Lenovo G560

only light peak allows for this.
dell a few years back used the pci card slot for a x series and they died.
sandy bridge models have HD 3000 in most models and there alot more powerful then HD series but no onbroad solution is gonna play modern games at good framerates.
the lenovo x series had some nice discrete choices if your looking for games.
other then that hd3000 has great media and transcode hardware all you ever need.
the only light peak solution i know of is the sony z with the media dock.
some years back ibm had a dock with a pci slot you could put a half height card in.
would be nice to see a lenovo with light peak and a dock or media dock make use of light peak and have pciX card in it we could change.
apple is said to make use of light peak as well.
if i had lenovo ear i would make a light peak media dock a option on the x series with a pcix graphics and a twin sata 3 port for a back up drive or a sata raid solution for those who want a workstation they can move.
forget ultrabooks give us options that are usefull.

Re: Graphic Card Slot in Lenovo G560

Too have G560 and it is not possible, another card is not to be connected to your laptop.

I'd recommend you "simply" buy a better laptop with dedic gcard...
