Help! - Recording sounds(Music) from a game.

2010-09-22, 17:58 PM
Hello, I tried to record Granstream Saga,The Playstation 1 game music on my laptop (Lenovo G530 4446) - Windows 7 Ultimate , using Audio MP3 Sound Recorder Program, i also used many other sound recorder... But when i record anything, the music i hear is too low, i increased the Windows(laptop) volume to the max(100), but always the sound recorded is too low.... Any help please? What should i do when i record something using the laptop , Should i use a HeadSet? I can't also see the mic in the Laptop...Should i put the headset near the mic or something...? Thanks..

That is normal because you are using a wrong method to recording.

You can try to get a Playstation emulator for PC, put that disk and record the music directly.

You must to install a Playsation emulator on your laptop and tun the game. Then you can use a sound editor software to record from your computer (it doesn't use the mic!). You must to configure "Stereo Mix" (or something like that) as your default record device.

Forget about Stereo Mix. You can use Audacity and try to normalize the whole music to 98% (normalize -> 98%).

Another option is getting a program who can extract source files (in this case, music files) from your game.
