How to disable the close button on Lenovo G50?

How to disable the close button that is on the F4 button?

Whenever I increase the sound volume, I accidentally press close and it's driving me crazy!

I keep opening things again and again!

How to disable or change its function?

Preferably, not disabling all the other Fn keys.

Re: How to disable the close button on Lenovo G50?

If you are using the FN button in conjunction with the F4 button to change the volume it may be better to swap the buttons from "Function Keys" to "Special Keys" in BIOS settings. This will make the keys default to the special use role instead of "F" keys role.

Re: How to disable the close button on Lenovo G50?

Not solved.

I use the buttons directly. That's the default.
If I turned to special keys as the default, I'd still have the same problem, as I will be using the Fn with F2 and F3, then hit F4 accidentally, trying to raise the volume.
